Oh, ok. It's fixed already. I didn't know you knew about it. Yes, I am using 0.6c6, since that is the recommended release (and what my Linux distribution packages). So, the only fix then is to install setuptools from SVN HEAD?

It would appear so; I guess I'm wrong about this being in 0.6c6; I just looked at my checkout, which is actually an 0.6c7dev version. Use "easy_install setuptools==dev06" to get the same version as I'm using.
