This page gives a pretty complete writeup. The package itself has not yet been updated (either with Robin Dunn's enhancements, or a couple bug fixes I have planned).

Also from this page you can download a tar.gz of just the archiving stuff. For you Unix-weenies, I've even stripped the Windows line endings!
