Hi All, Am I right in thinking the correct way to get a virtualenv without installing virtualenv into your site-packages is: - download a source distro of virtualenv - unpack it and copy virtualenv.py somewhere - use that virtualenv.py with whatever python you want to create your virtualenvs? cheers, Chris -- Simplistix - Content Management, Batch Processing & Python Consulting - http://www.simplistix.co.uk

You don't actually have to install virtualenv, just grab virtualenv.py (e.g., directly from svn) and run it. (Ditto pip) -- Ian Bicking | http://blog.ianbicking.org | http://topplabs.org/civichacker

Any chance this could be made (much) clearer on: http://pypi.python.org/pypi/virtualenv Maybe an Installation section with text that contains the url to virutalenv.py? If you tell me where the svn is and give me access, I'd be happy to have a go at tidying up whatever is used to generate the PyPI page... cheers, Chris -- Simplistix - Content Management, Batch Processing & Python Consulting - http://www.simplistix.co.uk
