disable python

hi, i run windows vista 64 bit on my hp pc and until this last week it has done me really well but now i find that all my web browsers have been taken over by this python thing, could you please tell me how to disable python on my pc, i have read somewhere that it is part of windows system but i have never ever seen it on any of my pc's before and it is very annoying, i do not like things taking over my machines, so would you be so kind as to tell me how to disable python. thanks very much. rick.

New submission from becky lewis <bex.lewis(a)gmail.com>: The documentation for the re module (specifically the section for []) states that: "If you want to include a ']' or a '-' inside a set, precede it with a backslash, or place it as the first character." However, after finding a typo in a regex I wrote it turns out to be false. Using the following regex finds a match: >>> regex = re.compile(r'[123ab-f-]+') >>> regex.match('-') <_sre.SRE_Match object at 0x8dd1b10> I am not sure if this is an issue with the documentation or if the re module itself should not allow this behaviour. It links to the correct place in the navigation bar at the top right of the page. Navigation (Correct): <li class="right" > <a href="py-modindex.html" title="Python Module Index">modules</a> |</li> In the body (Incorrect): Indices and tables: ... <a class="biglink" href="modindex.html">Global Module Index</a><br/ ... This seems to affect python2.6 and python2.7 documentation.
