while RFC 5233 is remotely associated with email, i think we might be better served by citing RFC 5322 ? The email<https://docs.python.org/3/library/email.html#module-email> package attempts to be as RFC-compliant as possible, supporting RFC 5233<https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5233.html> and RFC 6532<https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6532.html>, as well as such MIME-related RFCs as RFC 2045<https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2045.html>, RFC 2046<https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2046.html>, RFC 2047<https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2047.html>, RFC 2183<https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2183.html>, and RFC 2231<https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2231.html>.

could we perhaps point to an RFC from this century? :D like maybe RFC 5321? (fwiw... just looked -- 821 is ~40 yo!) installed Python 3 to learn with online class - 3 x issues

Hi really sorry to trouble you especially during pandemic when your skills are probably focused on more pressing concerns. I've tried to look through bugs to see if the 3 issues I have encountered are present. Am a new to learning Python3. Haven’t been able to locate through bugs any reference or solutions so far. Wondered if anyone can guide/assist with issues? Issue 1: Installed Python3 three times in two days initially arose after issue 3 (listed beneath) occurs. When I try to save a new file python stop and screen freezes. Snapshot showing how this appears on the screen : Issue 2: Unable to Quit IDLE as the tab is greyed out. Force Quit is executed and auto-generated report sent to Apple Developers for inspection: Issue 3: ‘Apply’ tab bottom does not appear within Settings window. Unable to locate the tab - adjusting size for’ Settings' pop up window not possible - adjusting size full screen ‘Apply’ tab does not appear I apologise for submission of email, I don’t wish to waste anyone’s time and contacting incase someone is aware of solutions to these issues perhaps raised by other newcomers to Python3. Update doc: Importers returning themselves?

Hi, In 5.3.2 on https://docs.python.org/3/reference/import.html it says that Objects that implement both of these interfaces are referred to as importers<https://docs.python.org/3/glossary.html#term-importer> - they return themselves when they find that they can load the requested module. However in the end of that section it is indicated that this is not the case as of Python 3.4 This is later confirmed in 5.4.1 where it says that: In many cases, the finder and loader can be the same object; in such cases the find_spec()<https://docs.python.org/3/library/importlib.html#importlib.abc.MetaPathFind…> method would just return a spec with the loader set to self. Ie, it does not return itself, but rather return a spec with the loader set to self. [issue41233] Missing links to errnos on Built-in Exceptions page

New submission from yyyyyyyan <yanorestes(a)hotmail.com>: On the [Built-in Exceptions](https://docs.python.org/dev/library/exceptions.html) page, the exception [InterruptedError](https://docs.python.org/dev/library/exceptions.html#Inter… correlates the error with the errno [EINTR](https://docs.python.org/dev/library/errno.html#errno.EINTR), linking the name `EINTR` with the errno page. This is great, since reading "*corresponds to errno EINTR*" is pointless if you don't know what `EINTR` means. The problem is `InterruptedError` is the only exception that put a link on the errno. All others only have the "correspondes to errno `ERRNO`", without any links, which makes it harder to understand. The same thing happens on the [errno](https://docs.python.org/dev/library/errno.html). On the section about [errno.EINTR](https://docs.python.org/dev/library/errno.html#errno.EINTR) we have a "see also" box saying "This error is mapped to the exception InterruptedError", with a link to the InterruptedError section on the exceptions page. However, for some reason the "see also" box is only on this specific errno section.
