[issue27718] help('signal') incomplete (e.g: signal.signal not visible)
New submission from Gabriel Pettier (Tshirtman): Up to apparently python 3.5, using help('signal') used to show the 'signal.signal' function among others, now it's not in the list, while of course help('signal.signal') does work, it was reported to me to still be the case in 3.6a1. ---------- assignee: docs@python components: Documentation messages: 272240 nosy: Gabriel Pettier (Tshirtman), docs@python priority: normal severity: normal status: open title: help('signal') incomplete (e.g: signal.signal not visible) type: behavior versions: Python 3.5, Python 3.6 _______________________________________ Python tracker <report@bugs.python.org> <http://bugs.python.org/issue27718> _______________________________________

R. David Murray added the comment: The conversion of the module from a pure python module to a mixed module apparently caused a number of changes to the pydoc output. This should be addressed to make the pydoc output complete, even if it still different in detail. ---------- nosy: +r.david.murray _______________________________________ Python tracker <report@bugs.python.org> <http://bugs.python.org/issue27718> _______________________________________
