On the balance, it isn't helpful to have a newcomer second-guess every little writing decision that has been made. Ideally, we should focus on issues that are known to actually be confusing real users. Also, it would be ideal to spend time learning the existing documentation norms. The little micro-edits each take time to discuss, review and apply or reject. This eats into the small bits of spare time that the reviewers have and takes them away from other issues.
