Re: [GSoC-general] GSoC-general Digest, Vol 14, Issue 1

Hello, I too have a question. I missed this year timeline by a few hours - I just looked at the instructions and I didn't see one specific about next years timeline. Are the dates on the proposal examples the timeline? and when should I make contact with mentors? The instructions although very informative in other aspects are not really clear with a hard timeline (IMHO) - if there is no timeline now, will there be on in the future? thank you, Paula On Tue, Jun 13, 2017 at 12:00 PM, <gsoc-general-request(a)python.org> wrote: > Send GSoC-general mailing list submissions to > gsoc-general(a)python.org > > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/gsoc-general > or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > gsoc-general-request(a)python.org > > You can reach the person managing the list at > gsoc-general-owner(a)python.org > > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific > than "Re: Contents of GSoC-general digest..." > > > Today's Topics: > > 1. Hi, I am a computer science undergraduate final year student from India. I am new to open source community. I have a background in languages including Python, C++, C and Java. I am aiming for GSoC 2018, and I want to contribute to your organisation. Can you help me in understanding how to contribute and pointing out some beginner issues I can contribute to? It will be great as I am really looking forward to this opportunity. Hope you reply. Thank you. Harsh Khatore
