Dear Sir/Madam,
I'm Nachiket Trivedi, a senior undergrad student from DA-IICT, India. I've
been working as a cybersecurity researcher at DA-IICT under Prof. Manik Lal
Das since a year. I've taken master level courses in Cryptography and
Security Protocols, and have many projects as well. I'm well versed in C,
Java, and Python. I've published 2 research papers in international
conferences in the domain of cybersecurity. The details of my papers are as
follows:
[1] "MalDetec: A Non-Root Approach for Dynamic Malware Detection in Android
<https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-319-72598-7_14>
” in International Conference on Information System Security-2017,
IIT-Bombay, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Dec 2017
[2] “Auditing Access to Private Data on Android Platform
<https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-319-72344-0_6>
”, in International Conference on Distributed Computing and Internet
Technology-2018, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, Jan 2018
Now, I want to contribute to open source pertaining to the same field, and
hence I've been exploring about it. I stumbled upon your organization and
was quite impressed by varied branches of Python Software Foundation,
especially Kivy Framework, which I've worked with before. In my first
research paper, I propose a tool(MalDetec) which uses a network traffic
analysis to detect malicious URL accesses in android without root-privilege
requirements. I used python to make this tool because of its rich library
support and easy network traffic analysis. I consulted the
python-for-android open source project and hence used the Kivy framework to
design my tool. My whole research paper revolves around malware detection,
with Python and Kivy being at the core of it.
Having said that, I would be really grateful if you can provide me some
work and hence an opportunity to contribute to your organization. Eagerly
waiting for your reply.
PFA my resume.
Regards,
Nachiket Trivedi
I'm new to open source, but I have a keen interest in programming and I am now addicted to python. I would like to devote as much as possible to this a great open source.
Kindly provide me road map how to proceed further ?
