why you want to learn python?

I have recently started learning python. Once I got familiarized with the syntax it was fun. I worked on Facebook api, Twitter api, Python GUI etc., Please share your thoughts why you want to learn python. I want to learn more and be an active member of this group. Thank you for your efforts.
