PyCon India 2025 Calls for Proposals are now open!

Hi everyone, We are excited to launch the Call for Proposals for Talks and Workshops for PyCon India 2025. You can submit your proposals by going to https://in.pycon.org/2025/cfp/ . Call for Proposals for DevSprints, Posters, Lightning Talks, Unconferences will start at a later point in time or at the event itself for some session types. Some important dates to remember for this year: - Submission Open: 20 February 2025 - Submission Deadline: 18 May 2025 - Schedule Announcement: 7 July 2025 The conference days are: - Workshops: 12 September 2025 - Talk Presentations: 13-14 September 2025 - DevSprints: 15 September 2025 Some changes we started with this year: We have moved to Pretalx [1] as a CFP platform. Junction [2] has served us well for the past decade, but it has been increasingly difficult to find maintainers for Junction and keep it up to date. We thank Junction for its service and to every contributor [3] to Junction over its lifetime. The project is not being deprecated at this point in time and the existing instance will still be kept working until we archive all submitted talks and have a static website to show them. In Person Meeting for PyCon India 2025 Volunteers

Hi everyone! PyCon India 2025 Volunteers who are in the city are meeting in-person on February 15th after the BangPypers Meetup at the same location. Date: Feb 15, 2025 Time: 1PM - 2PM Location: Thoughtworks Whitefield (https://maps.app.goo.gl/UFmbABHETKddRbfYA) In case you want to join, please RSVP to the meetup page event: https://www.meetup.com/bangpypers/events/303451760/ .This is needed for building security reasons. Also, please don’t forget to bring an ID if you are coming. We will keep notes from the in-person meeting so that all the volunteers are updated with what was discussed during the conversation. Further, we will still have our weekly virtual meeting at the same day (Thursday) and time (9.30 PM).
