conference fee for year 2013
Hi, Lets work on the conference fee structure. Most of conference expense is food. I think it is a good idea to make people pay for their food at least. I suggest the following tiers. * Early Bird Registration - Rs. 800 * Regular Registration - Rs. 1000 * Late Registration - Rs. 1500 * At Venue - Rs. 1500 For tutorial registration we need to start once we get tutorial's finalized as we can accommodate 20 member per tutorial. We can have Rs. 1500 for tutorial. As last year i think we can cap early bird for 300 tickets and regular for 400/300 tickets. What do you think? Vijay
Do give a thought on different pricings for individuals, students, companies ( or group discounts) Thanks, Chris Sent on my BlackBerry® from Vodafone -----Original Message----- From: vijay <vnbang2003@yahoo.com> Sender: "Inpycon" <inpycon-bounces+chris4python=gmail.com@python.org>Date: Fri, 24 May 2013 17:12:03 To: Mailing list for the PyCon India conference<inpycon@python.org> Reply-To: vijay <vnbang2003@yahoo.com>, Mailing list for the PyCon India conference <inpycon@python.org> Subject: [Inpycon] conference fee for year 2013 _______________________________________________ Inpycon mailing list Inpycon@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/inpycon
Am not sure how for validate student as it will extra work during registration . For companies i think we can ask them do share details directly so we can help , Cost wise i think they can afford it . My bad for at venue registration it should be 2000 instead of 1500. ________________________________ From: "chris4python@gmail.com" <chris4python@gmail.com> To: Mailing list for the PyCon India conference <inpycon@python.org> Sent: Friday, 24 May 2013 2:48 PM Subject: Re: [Inpycon] conference fee for year 2013 Do give a thought on different pricings for individuals, students, companies ( or group discounts) Thanks, Chris Sent on my BlackBerry® from Vodafone -----Original Message----- From: vijay <vnbang2003@yahoo.com> Sender: "Inpycon" <inpycon-bounces+chris4python=gmail.com@python.org>Date: Fri, 24 May 2013 17:12:03 To: Mailing list for the PyCon India conference<inpycon@python.org> Reply-To: vijay <vnbang2003@yahoo.com>, Mailing list for the PyCon India conference <inpycon@python.org> Subject: [Inpycon] conference fee for year 2013 _______________________________________________ Inpycon mailing list Inpycon@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/inpycon _______________________________________________ Inpycon mailing list Inpycon@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/inpycon

We used to ask for a valid student ID card. Yes, that can be faked, and it does add some more work at the time of registration, but it works out fairly well.

IMHO, companies should be given group discounts for tickets for more than X attendees. X could be 20. Regards, Gora
Lets make our life easy. We are already discounting the fee. The participants are not even paying for their food and t-shirt. Lets stop worrying about discounts. We can have free tickets for volunteers. If some students can't afford to pay the ticket, then let them come and help running the conference to get a free ticket. Vijay, please make sure the ticket price pays the food and t-shirt. We can't subsidise further than that. Anand On Sat, May 25, 2013 at 11:42 AM, Gora Mohanty <gora@mimirtech.com> wrote:

If some students can't afford to pay the ticket, then let them come and help running the conference to get a free ticket. Anand Chitipothu If students are interested in helping out, what are the things they should be looking forward to doing? Like for example, should they arrive a day or two early? What preparations should they make, what will be they helping out with etc. Maybe a link to interested parties from the homepage (http://in.pycon.org/2013/) itself?
James, As we move forward we will need more and more volunteer for each stuff as this conference run by volunteer. We will be requesting for volunteer any student need to reply back and handle that work . We will be there to support in all ways to him. If student can make 1 days before it will be super they will be lot to manage day before conference. With Thanks VIjay On Wed, May 29, 2013 at 6:17 PM, Aby James <gits1225@gmail.com> wrote:
