Hi, We distributed python stickers last time at the python workshops done as part of Python Month. We would like to do the same this year. One of the issues last time was sending the stickers to speaker in time. We had couple of volunteers, but that didn't workout very well. I've spoken to Isaac of Sticky Stamp and they charge Rs. 6 per piece for 1000 and more. They are open to reduce the price slightly and ready to take care of drop shipping (sending the stickers to speakers directly). I think this is going to be very helpful as we plan to run Python Express though out the year. My plan is to send 200 stickers to each speaker so that he can use them for about 3 workshops. If we order 5000 stickers, that'll cost slightly less than Rs. 30,000. Please let me know if this look alright. Anand

If there are left-over stickers from workshops, how do we plan to collect them for use at the conference ? - rejy (rmc)
+1. Getting the stickers directly shipped to the speakers would be better. Or, we could ship to the college instead. Sankét On Thu, Aug 21, 2014 at 5:45 PM, Rejy M Cyriac <rcyriac@redhat.com> wrote:

Hi Rejy, The plan is to ship the stickers directly to the trainers, so that we don't have any delay. We are not planning to keep these stickers until the conference. Anand
Hi Anand, This sounds like a good deal, last time we did actually had problems shipping the stickers as only couple of people were taking care. Also, this time the horizon of Python Month will surely increase hence logistics need to simplified. Moreoever, if this becomes an ongoing activity, they come out to be very useful. I will speak on expense part 5000 x 6 = 30,000 is too much i feel. 5000 x 2 = 10,000 + courier charges of 1000 like last year look fine to me. Please think about this am -1 for this cost. On Thu, Aug 21, 2014 at 5:37 PM, Anand Chitipothu <anandology@gmail.com> wrote:

Compensating for the cost, StickyStamp's stickers would be of better quality than last year's. I can vouch for that, since I've used their stickers. But yes, a three-fold increase in cost needs reconsideration. Sankét On Thu, Aug 21, 2014 at 6:07 PM, vijay kumar <vnbang2003@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi all, I was helping out with the stickers last year and yes, manually sending it out to different venues was a real pain. If Sticky stamp can do that we will be saving on a lot of logistic issues. Not sure if anyone else out there does the same. Given that its pretty late, it is difficult to replicate last year's plan and get volunteers to courier it manually. We should probably stick to these folks and check if they can be flexible on the price. Shreyas On Thu, Aug 21, 2014 at 6:11 PM, Sanket Saurav <sanketsaurav@gmail.com> wrote:

Are we open to re-negotiating with StickyStamp to bring down the cost, by offering to combine this order, with another order of equal number for Fedora stickers ? We could insist on having the orders billed separately. I had been considering getting Fedora stickers done, for Open Source Community activities from the Red Hat Bangalore office. If everyone is okay with the idea, I can discuss it with concerned folks at Red Hat Bangalore, and get back to you with the feasibility details in a couple of days. - rejy (rmc)

Hi Rejy I personally know StickyStamp founder very well. Though I can speak to him, but I am 100% sure, they won't be able to provide at the rate of 2 per sticker. Also I won't be comfortable to ask the stickers at that price given their high quality stickers. +1 I have printed some VIM stickers from them as well [1] and have been thoroughly impressed with the quality. I understand that the price is a little high, but the assurance is of great quality! It looks like the discounts end at 1000 pieces. :-/

Are we open to re-negotiating with StickyStamp to bring down the
cost,
by offering to combine this order, with another order of equal
number
for Fedora stickers ? We could insist on having the orders billed separately.
I had been considering getting Fedora stickers done, for Open Source Community activities from the Red Hat Bangalore office. If everyone
is
okay with the idea, I can discuss it with concerned folks at Red Hat Bangalore, and get back to you with the feasibility details in a
couple
of days.

I think they print high quality stickers and the prices can't go much lower than Rs. 6. I spoke to them over phone and agreed to slightly reduce the price. More than anything else, there are ready to take care of shipping the stickers to speakers. That would save us lot of efforts. I strongly recommend going with them. Vijay, does it look okay to you? What is last cost they agreed. what is number of sticker we are looking for ?
Also, is there a design of some kinds for the sticker or is it the regular python sticker? On Fri, Aug 22, 2014 at 7:21 AM, vijay kumar <vnbang2003@gmail.com> wrote:

If we are getting 5000 stickers printed, we could have two or three designs, since it looks like the increase in the discounted rate stops at 1000 copies. And yes, generic designs are always much better appreciated than event/event-year specific ones. - rejy (rmc)

I still don't think we should spend money on this so much. We can save about 20 k by getting printed from other . Can we get 1-2 volunteer who can get sticker printed from other vendor(may be last years). On Fri, Aug 22, 2014 at 10:31 AM, Shrayas rajagopal <shrayasr@gmail.com> wrote:

That is a cool sticker. And yeah, the price is probably worth the quality of the stickers. Generally stickers printed in India used to well below par in quality, until these folks came around. So I guess it is all down to a decision based on the financial part. And that generally means I keep a safe distance. :-P Hey Kracekumar, do you mind if I contact you off-list to discuss about getting such cool stickers printed ? I would like to have the stickers of many open source projects printed, for conferences and meetings. - rejy (rmc)

Anand, How much would the stickstamp charge for the shipping part? Because if our volunteers have to courier for each workshop, it's going to cost a lot I guess. On Aug 22, 2014 10:54 AM, "Kracekumar Ramaraju" <me@kracekumar.com> wrote:

They were ready to ship for free. Our plan was to send 200 stickers per speaker, that would be 25 shipments. Even if we pay 100 per shipment, that'll still be Rs. 2,500. Anand
Regarding Stickers, Hello all. We are bunch of passout students from K.S.K.V.
