Volunteers to design a Poster for CFP
Hi, As we have got limited number of proposal submissions so far, we need to spread the word on CFP in many organisations and also in many social media websites and newsletters. We have to design an email template for organisations which would be more appealing for them than just the text email. Email template is basically an image with PyCon India logo and CFP details (mentioned below) similar to our last year PyCon India poster ( https://in.pycon.org/2014/PyCon-2014-Poster-Aligned.png). *Requesting volunteers to help us in designing the template. It would be great if we can get this by this weekend (3rd May 2015) as we have very less time left for CFP.* Please do let us know if anyone has any other suggestion to increase the submissions. CFP Details : Closing Date : May 31st 2015. Proposal Submission Link : https://in.pycon.org/cfp/pycon-india-2015/proposals/ Thanks, PyCon India Team

Hi Sreenivas, It is looking very good. Couple of suggestions: * Please use PyCon with "C" capital, not Pycon. * Please use PyCon India 2015, not PyCon 2015. PyCon without any suffix usually means US PyCon. * It might be better to create a bit.ly URL for Proposal submission URL. The current long URL is too hard to remember or type. * The text "PyCon India, the premier conference..." is not readable. Try making the text more bright? * Can "Nimhans Convention Centre, Bangalore" be made into two lines with Bangalore in the second line? * Can the main heading be "Call For Proposals" instead of "CFP"? Good work! Anand

It does look nice. I have couple of suggestions: 1. In the heading -- "Call For Proposals for PyCon India 2015" -- the second 'for' could be removed as the second half serves as subtitle (and could be center aligned with first half). The F of first 'For' could be lower case. 2. Typo in "Your are welcome", should be "You are welcome". 3. NIMHANS should be capitalized as it is an abbreviation. 4. The 3 dates (Closing, Workshop, Conference) should either have year (2015) or they should not. Should be uniform. Overall I like the design and color scheme. Nice work. :) -- Kartik http://techglider.in

That is looking very good. I think the short-url on the poster is hard to read. I've creating the following short URL for the same link. http://bit.ly/pyconindia-cfp Would you like to use this instead? Anand

Hi All, Since there are no further comments, we are finalizing the CFP Poster. I request the media team to publicize this in different mailing lists, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Newsletters/magazines and all places applicable. @Everyone, as we discussed in the Volunteer meetup, please do share the poster in your Organizations and also in your personal accounts (such as FB, Twitter, LinkedIn and personal blogs) to encourage more people to submit proposals. We are just left with 28 days! Thanks, Vanitha On 2 May 2015 at 17:45, Vanitha Shanmugam <vani.pree@gmail.com> wrote:
