We can't give name on Lanyard to more than one sponsors. Also, lets make it logo on notebooks instead of swag bag. I think we can keep a premium rate of Rs. 4L for Platinum. We may have to give some more benefits to platinum to justify the cost. Better visibility during keynote/talks? Also, we've discussed earlier about giving 50% discount on sponsorship amount for startups. This was the idea taken from US PyCon to promote participation of startups/small organizations. I think we can limit this offer to companies with less than 10 employees. Comments? I don't think we need to mention the number of slots available. Couple of issues that came up last year: * Free passes: I think we can give 2,4 and 8 free passes to silver, gold and platinum sponsors respectively. * Distributing brochures along with swag kit. I'm fine with either allowing this or not, but we need to make a decision and stick to it. * No preference in the selected talks: We need to explicitly mention this in the sponsorship prospectus. We can use ContactPoint kits from HasGeek(as last year ) to share contact
details. It lets the participants to tap their card if they want to share their contact details with any sponsor.
I'll check with HasGeek and confirm this. Anand -- Anand http://anandology.com/
1) My bad we decide to have only inpycon logo on lanyard. 2) For start company We can do 50% discount or if we get enough start up companies numbers should we have start up row as discussed last year but not sure what we need to charge them. +1 I agree. Was even thinking of giving them one session slot for tutorial. What do you all feel?

+1. Lets do it.
I don't think we need to mention the number of slots available.

+1. good thought. Better to put this up front.
* Distributing brochures along with swag kit. I'm fine with either allowing this or not, but we need to make a decision and stick to it.
We should allow this. We may impose restrictions. But if we are unable to enforce it then restrictions are of no value. Suggest that, we bundle Platinum sponsor's promotion material along with the swag kit. Other's may do it on their own in their stalls.
* No preference in the selected talks: We need to explicitly mention this in the sponsorship prospectus.
This has been strictly followed in previous talks and I feel, we should continue. - sree

I'm against selling tutorial slots. We could keep one talk slot for a sponsor and announce it like that but I feel we should have complete control over tutorials. Also, a general point, we should all decide what all we put in the sponsorship brochure and then either 1. All stick to it completely so that there are no embarassing questions or similar situations. or 2. Have *all* sponsor negotiations go through a single person who can, if he deems fit, make adjustments to the privileges or prices. It's a bad situation when someone makes a promise and someone else has to go back on it because of a miscommunication. [...] -- Cordially, Noufal http://nibrahim.net.in

My thinking was different. By offering tutorial session instead of a conference session, we do not end up imposing the sponsor's lecture on the community. But I am ok with either of these (even none of these being part of the package). - sree
