Hi, I just want to check, are those of us who are helping organize workshops across the country also blogging about what we're doing? If we could post at least one blog post on every workshop, that could help publicize Python Month and PyCon in the long run. ---- Best Regards, * Bibhas Ch Debnath*
We are not writing blog but we are sharing snap and college details in FB once volunteer who conducted the workshop shares with us. On Tue, Aug 13, 2013 at 1:10 PM, Bibhas Ch Debnath <me@bibhas.in> wrote:

Writing aggregate blog post may be better. On Aug 13, 2013 1:16 PM, "vijay kumar" <vnbang2003@gmail.com> wrote:

Sharing on Facebook? I think that doesn't really count as those things cannot be reached from outside world. I think we should encourage the volunteers to write blog posts, even small ones would help. ---- Best Regards, * Bibhas Ch Debnath* On Tue, Aug 13, 2013 at 1:16 PM, vijay kumar <vnbang2003@gmail.com> wrote:

Good idea. But it requires efforts from people. It would be even better to write a blog post on PyCon India website about the each week's summary. Anyone interested to take it up? Anand
Let's create a small google form where, after organizing a workshop, one volunteer would come and fill few things like date, number of people and small description, and at the end of the week we can just take those and compile a blog post. ---- Best Regards, * Bibhas Ch Debnath* On Tue, Aug 13, 2013 at 1:42 PM, Anand Chitipothu <anandology@gmail.com>wrote:

This could become pretty repetitive. I think one of the best ways is post whatever the volunteers in the workshop report about their experience in FB (which group is that?) and here on this mailing list at a single location, e.g. the Planet at python.org.in (which remains pretty lonely since long). Even if the write up is just a few lines, it could be coupled up with some photos. We took a lot of them at the REVA workshop last Saturday (Niraj, have you posted them somewhere?). I can take up the task of editing and posting the reports. At least this much should be done to let the world know about Python Month. If there are no public posts, as Bibhas pointed out too, posting reports on the inter(nal)net doesn't serve the purpose. -- Kartik http://k4rtik.wordpress.com/
I was talking about asking the volunteers filling up a form like this - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1PquxLihoqLkl65CNnTg32-56WsD-AgdMiXvWfM8QSn8... Then one of us could aggregate them and publish a blog post like "Python month: Week #1" and so on. ---- Best Regards, * Bibhas Ch Debnath* On Tue, Aug 13, 2013 at 8:07 PM, Kartik Singhal <kartiksinghal@gmail.com>wrote:

And I was talking about the last field in the form - blog post of personal experience of the volunteer(s). The blog posts could be automated to appear at the Planet section of python.org.in. It depends on how we want to present it - as a report or as a story. I prefer the latter if it's for the world to see. Surely, a report about the overall Python Month would be good at the end of the month. -- Kartik http://k4rtik.wordpress.com/
I could take it up but someone needs to provide an input, a rough brief of the details of the event. Be forewarned, my write up will consist of what others have provided me as input. I think a better option is if someone writes, I could edit if for English. Warm regards, Annapoornima On Tue, Aug 13, 2013 at 1:42 PM, Anand Chitipothu <anandology@gmail.com>wrote:
