Dear Siddheshwar,
Dear All, I am still unable to get started due to the error: from scipy.linalg import _fblas DLL load failed: ...
I see that you have a 32 bit python. Could it be that you accidentally installed a 64 bit version of scipy?
One problem I must point out here is that..I checked the 1.0.0. manual and there it was mentioned that scipy-stack, tinyarray, kwant must be installed.. But I checked the "http://www.lfd.uci.edu/~gohlke/pythonlibs" link and could not find ANY scipy-stack there. Could this be a problem in my case?
The installation file is not up to date, thanks for reporting this. Best, Anton

Dear siddheshwar,
It appears your internet connection is too slow. You can try adding "--default-timeout=240" to the command line to increase the timeout.

Dear All, The problem of "pip" is resolved by installing python 2.7.9. However I am now facing the foolowing issues when I execute "pip install -U pip":
cannot fetch index base URL https://pypi.python.org/simple/ could not find any downloads that satisfy the requirement pip in c:\python27\lib\site-packages.
What is the possible cause of this?
