Dear Sir,
Ok I will use the precompiled packages. I followed the link and tried to install it in the samee manner. The Python2.7 is installed in the default location. But when I run "pip install -U pip"..It is giving error that "pip" is not a recognized command. How to solve this?

Dear Siddheshwar,

you can find detailed installation instructions for Windows at

http://www.kwant-project.org/install

Compiling kwant on windows yourself is very tricky, and it is better to use the precompiled packages as explained in the instructions.

Dear Users,
I am a new Kwant user. I want to learn this useful software. I could not find Kwant's ".exe" file for Windows. Do we need to compile the ".tar.gz" in Windows using Cygwin?
Any help would be welcomed.

Kind Regards,
