Dear All,

The problem of "pip" is resolved by installing python 2.7.9. However I am now facing the foolowing issues when I execute "pip install -U pip":

cannot fetch index base URL https://pypi.python.org/simple/

could not find any downloads that satisfy the requirement pip in c:\python27\lib\site-packages.

What is the possible cause of this?

kwant, but this may still take a little while. Note though that you can
also install software with pip in anaconda.
