modelling chiral channels
Hi, I am thinking if it's possible to use Kwant to compute the conductance matrix for a network of chiral 1D channels? Looks very similar to what kwant normally does, I suppose, but kwant does not allow for non-symmetric hoppings. Any ideas? Thank you, Sergey
Hi Sergey, Kwant currently does not have these capability of calculating the conductance matrix of a network of chiral channels. However, together with Helene Spring and Anton Akhmerov, we are currently working on a package for simulating network models, which is what you would need. Currently the package is able to construct networks (for example as in the image attached) and calculate total scattering matrices between links (which can then be used to calculate the conductance matrix). While the package is still work in progress, it could already be useful for your needs.
