Public bug reported: I'd suggest adding a functionalty which would need a domain as param, and return a list of mailing lists associated with this domain. (I don't think my modification to the templates should be in, but having te message-id exposed would mean I won't have to remember to patch mailman on every update...) Once a day however, mailmanctl controls the lock. If it does not have it, it shuts down. If you are running a cluster, at least one of the nodes will not have the lock, and the service will be shut down on that node. To solve this, I propose that the the LOCKFILE name in mailmanctl becomes configurable, so instead of having: LOCKFILE = os.path.join(mm_cfg.LOCK_DIR, 'master-qrunner') Have: LOCKFILE = os.path.join(mm_cfg.LOCK_DIR, mm_cfg.QRUNNER_LOCK_FILE) Then add LOCKFILE = 'master-qrunner' in Defaults.py. Public bug reported: This is not a problem for the actual web admin interface, as send_unsub_notifications_to_list_owner and send_unsub_ack_to_this_batch are in the form and the CGI will always be able to access them in the CGI data, but if a user creates a URL with query fragments to try to do the unsubscribe via wget in a script, these two items must be included. [Bug 1047100] [NEW] The logger can throw UnicodeEncodeError if the log message is unicode

Public bug reported: There is code in Mailman's _Syslog.write_ex() method to catch a UnicodeError when writing the log file and quoted-printable encode the log message. This works on messages that contain non-ascii, 8-bit bytes, but if the message is a unicode with non-ascii characters, the attempt to quoted-printable encode it will throw UnicodeEncodeError which is not caught.
