Public bug reported:
mailman reports sublists as not found in the error file
Two sublists (firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com) are configured as regular_include_lists for list firstname.lastname@example.org
When posting to email@example.com, mailman reports the errors:
Include list firstname.lastname@example.org not found. Include list email@example.com not found.
** Affects: mailman Importance: Undecided Status: New
Do the two lists actually exist?
If this is cPanel, the list in regular_include_lists needs to be the cPanel list name, e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org.
Similarly, if this is some other modified Mailman where the list's internal name is not the same as the local part of the list posting address, the local part of the regular_include_lists entry needs to be the list's internal name.
** Changed in: mailman Status: New => Incomplete
Thanks for that information Mark. They are hosted on cPanel so that would be the issue here.
Apologies for the false alarm, this information was not provided on https://documentation.cpanel.net/display/ALD/Mailing+Lists
** Changed in: mailman Status: Incomplete => Invalid
