I have a fairly tunnel vision view of the Mailman world, so I might be accidently omitting some helpful people from the ACKNOWLEDGMENTS file. I /think/ I have a good handle on mailman-developers, but I'm especially thinking about mailman-users I'm unaware of, who have been helpful to newbies and other people having problems. If you think there are important names missing from the ACKNOWLEDGMENTS file -- even if it's your name ;) -- please email me with additions. Please don't post them to this list. Thanks, -Barry

Mailman 2.0 beta 6 query/suggestion

Hi I've been admin for a Mailman 1.1 list for a while, and am very happy with it, with 2 little exceptions that I'd like to run past you. Basically I'm wondering if these things are incorporated in 2.0 and if not, you may find them worthwhile to consider. 1. The ability to press the good old "reply to all" for a mail delivered by mailman, and have a reply addressed to both the list, and the person that posted it. Currently I find with either the reply to the list or the poster options selected, I get "reply to all" addressing the list twice or just the list, respectively. 2. A block option that rather than hold detected messages for approval, simply will trash them, never to be seen. I hope I have not missed something in the announce's re the above, and if I have, appreciate your patience. Check whether you receive two copies of this message (one from me and one from the list). If you do, everything is fine. I've been kinda busy lately so I didn't notice that I didn't receive any more posts from mailman-developers since september 1st... but I'm stilling getting mail from mailman-users... my listinfo page on python.org for mailman-developers tells me mail delivery is not turned off... that's odd...?
