Additionally do we need to consider:-
- Hierarchical lists - ie moderated announce lists that post into other lists, with decent support for building a union of subscribers - maybe rather than subscribing x-users & x-developers to ax-nnounce, a way of telling the list to pull in these lists' subscribers too.
I've got something like this running here, implemented as a generic "metamember" mechanism. I think I posted some kind of description of metamembers here earlier, have a look in the archives.
Anyway, I won't consider (backporting and) committing that part of my tree until after 2.0 is out.
- Filtering on lists to detect cross posting and do something...
What do you mean when you say "filtering"? Do you have any ideas as to what the configuration interface[1] for this should look like?
- An idea of what "something" should be :-)
Why, one should delete the lists crossposted to, of course, to teach those lusers to stop crossposting :-P
[1] I assume we'd want to have such a thing :)
