Re: [Mailman-Developers] [please heklp!!]cannot list public lists from listinfo , can from admin

[I think this is a mailman-users issue - *please* can we try and get the list splits appropriate - mailman-developers is not just a means of getting more clued (or less low-clued) responses for a problem because you think its urgent]

I know this has been asked on this list before but I think I have a new twist which I cant figure out.
I have created a public list, which is listed fine under /admin, but does not appear under /listinfo. I get the :
"There currently are no publicly-advertised mailman mailing lists" message.
It appears that Mailman only displays lists that match the URL prefix of your web server for mailman/listinfo whereas it displays all lists known to that installation no matter what the URL prefix for mailman/admin
For an example of this see the exim.org box which runs lists for both exim.org and wylug.org.uk http://www.exim.org/mailman/listinfo/ - lists defined within exim.org http://list.wylug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/ - lists on wylug.org.uk http://www.exim.org/mailman/admin/ - all lists on that machine
So I guess you need to go to the admin pages for your lists and modify the "Base URL for Mailman web interface. " at the bottom of the "General Options" page.

This only works if you don't have any wierd capitization in your DNS names, if you do setting the base url won't help, however "VIRTUAL_HOST_OVERVIEW = 0" will fix it.
