I saw this on the Mailman 2.1 Wiki page: "Provide an email interface to all administrative commands"
Does this include the approval of moderated messages? If so, has any work been done on this or do you know how it will work?
Will it be (or is it already) possible to have the approval sent to more than one person?
Thanks, Jesper.

Yes, especially so! This is very high on my personal threshold of pain. :)

No work's been done on it yet. I'm not sure exactly how I'm going to do it, other than to probably hook into the new confirmation stuff already in CVS. The problem is that there are two outcomes: reject or approve. Which do you make easiest? (Probably reject since it's much more common.) Maybe there's auto-reject by default or timeout, with approvals being the easy path. Not sure yet.

I'm toying with the idea of adding a moderators' role, separate from and with fewer privs than the list owner. Even without that, such confirmations will be sent to the list owners, so yes.

Actually I approve the majority of stuff - since I run all my lists with member posting only, but people either post relevant stuff as non-members, or they have multiple email addresses and use the wrong one.
I also discard a lot of items - however thats a peculiarity of how the list is set up in this case.
If mail based moderation is available, then there needs to be an option to send more of the original message out with the notification of waiting mail - or a way of getting some header and body data back.

Oh absolutely! I think the right solution is to include the entire original message as an attachment (preferrably MIME, but there probably needs to be a non-MIME option).
