Barry and the crew:
I just put in the new driver a bit ago...and went to www2.acm.jhu.edu/mailman/listinfo
/tmp/mailman.log showed up then...this is what it contained:
[cklempay@chimera /tmp]$ cat mailman.log ===== import sys run_main() import os sys.path.insert() import StampedLogger import MultiLogger instantiating logger instantiating multi should now get normal error reporting [cklempay@chimera /tmp]$

Something truly strange is happening. I don't understand how you can get that far through the driver script and still get a low level error with no traceback. Let me think about it -- I must be missing something.
