<SIGH>. I think in the future I'll forward my patches and ideas to Barry and let him tell me what I'm missing... If only Python were more intuitive... :)
The problem with the first patch (leaving the base URL empty) is that it breaks footers on every message sent out that refers to that URL. Although I think that if no URL is specified, the footers should use the default...
The problem with my second patch (allowing multiple admins from newlist) is that the mailto: link breaks on all admin pages.

Please understand that I only hack Mailman in my `copious spare time', which means I may not be very responsive at times. I generally try to batch up my Mailman list readings and deal with them at least once a week.
Please do *not* send stuff directly to me though. First, it usually breaks my autofoldering (meaning there's a good chance the message will just get buried). Also, there are 4 other core maintainers, so they don't see the messages sent only to me. mailman-developers@python.org is still the best place to send stuff.
