Hello everyone,
I am proud to announce the first preview of the ZMailman product. It allows Zope to have access to the Mailman API and pretty much replaces Mailman's Web GUI. I also added the beginnings of a Mailman UserFolder.

Note: ZMailman runs only on Zope 2.5+ and Mailman 2.1a3+.

I don't understand Zope; can someone describe why I might want this, what it buys me, etc. (like a sales brochure)?

It doesn't necessarily buy you anything, unless you already need Zope. This was more for Zopatistas who need to run mailing lists, rather than Mailman people, not that it isn't a cool hack.
I think I like Zope, too; I just can't get it to stand still long enough to learn it. Maybe I'm getting old...

Right, ZMailman is not for people not using Zope. However, it makes the integration of Mailing List functionality into your Web Site so easy, that I thought some of you might be interested.

Well, try to get into Zope 3.0, which is being built at the moment. It makes use of the latest development and design patterns, so it is good to look at it in anyway, whether you are interested in Zope or not.

Yes, there is a proof-of-concept (not working) ZMMUserFolder as part of the product. But simply by providing the Mailman API in Zope will help you with this task. But let's take that discussion to the ZMailman list, since it is inappropriate for this one...

Well, Zope 3.0 is in the early stages of development right now. So, it is not really ready for use yet. ZMailman still uses 2.5. What do you mean with non-zoo tutorials?
