in the re.search, the parameters are the wrong way around. The consequence is that a new message-id is assigned to each message and threading is easily broken.

Thanks fixed in MM2.0.x cvs. It'll be part of MM2.0.14 if there ever is one. Patch not relevant for MM2.1.
