Freenode or Libera for IRC?

Hi all. I'm a prospective new contributor [1] presently running through the onboard process.
Wikipedia transitioned from Freenode to Libera [2] which is run by Freenode's former operators [3]. I haven't paid further attention to their breakup drama, but Andrew Lee's post about a "Joseon Empire" on Freenode's frontpage [4] doesn't fill me with confidence.
Just food for thought but has Mailman considered moving to Libera [5]?
Cheers! -Damian

The developers have already done so, but #mailman is just very quiet recently as far as I know. The problem is if you provide a pointer to Libera on Freenode, they remove your ownership bit and change the topic, so it's mailing-list-only knowledge. Anybody whose main interaction with Mailman is on Freenode doesn't really have a way to find out, unfortunately, but that's the way the new Freenode owner wants it. I don't think we even own #mailman on Freenode any more.

Thanks Stephen, thanks Abhilash! Discussion fell off the list and Abhilash said he'd forward his reply but I'm gonna beat him to the punch.
Welcome to GNU Mailman :-)
Thanks Abhilash!
Oh! Wonderful. Thanks. :P

Does mailman-developers@ set the reply-to header to itself? If not that might be handy to keep discussions on the list by default (we did that at Tor).

These wiki pages have been updated too.
We strongly believe that reply-to munging is not a good thing. See <http://marc.merlins.org/netrants/listreplyto.html>.
