Just a warning that source strings will probably change quite a bit as I convert our bin and cron scripts from getopt to optparse. I'm trying (as always) to be mindful of not gratuitously changing translatable text, but in this case it can't be avoided. Eventually, I'd also like to change all translatable text from using %-substitutions to using $-substitutions, but I think in general we can automate that conversion (IOW, not totally invalidate all existing translations just because of that change). Anybody looking for a fun little project to work on? :)
I still like the idea of the patch I worked up for po2templ.py as it makes this more robust against possible changes in the .po headers, but I'll leave it up to Tokio to decide on that as it's his code.
I agree that it's probably the right thing to commit, but yes, let's have Tokio weigh in first. -Barry
