Rick - Good question. I'm replacing the previous admin so honestly I'm not quite sure. The kicker is the admin I replaced didn't set it up either! He had yet another admin set it up. From the mailing list side, which is right this moment still majordomo, emails sent to 'archive(a)system.name.com' are automatically archived. This is for three different lists. Mhonarc takes care of sorting them out (based on the [listname] in subject) and sticking them into the correct web archive. I'll ask for details on how my counter-part set it up and see what comes back. (Look for private email as I think this gets to be OT.) In the mean time if anyone else knows a quick answer to this... Re the test, I found it realitivly easy. Then again I've been using RH since 4.0 and doing hardware / software problem deturmination at IBM for the last six years. I think it was 'easy' for me because of my previous exposure. I'll be retesting on 6.x when the 2.4 kernel is released and shipped. Lock Problom.

I get this error every once in awhile. Seems that when a message is sent from Outlook (HTML Mail format) the default footer doesn't get attached.... Is there something special that I need to set?

External Archivers and listinfo page archive url

All - In my conifg I use an email address to a second system that keeps the Monarch web archive of the lists. So any message sent to archiver(a)monarch.ibm.com will end up being added to the appropriate archive. The listinfo page has an url to the archive location which points to the pipermail archives on the local system. Newbie ?? Problem with wrapper

Hey everyone, I set up a mailinglist, when i try to subscribe on the website of my list i got a confirmation of subscription mail in my mailbox, when i try to reply to this mail, i got the following error mail in my box : <test(a)internal.net>: Command died with status 2: "/usr/mailman/mail/wrapper post test" I use the postfix mail system and mailman 1.1 Tnx a lot for any help, Kind Regards, -- Thomas

Confiuration Help

I have installed mailman 1.0 on a Linux 6.1 system. Everything seems to work except the subscription confirmation replies bounce. I don't see an entry in /etc/aliases for the test-request user. Should something have been created here for the group Test? What is the mechanism to map these messages to the mailman program? Any help is appreciated. Roy

List mail is bouncing :(

Heyas all, I'm having problems getting Mailman up and running. All mail that is sent to my mailing list is bouncing back with "unknown mailer error 2". I think the aliases are having problems expanding. Problems are occuring on a Linux box, sendmail is 8.9.3, python is 1.5.2, mailman is current release. I will refer to the list as 'mylist'. Mail going to mylist(a)myhost.com is bouncing to mylist-admin(a)myhost.com with mailer error 2. Mail fails sending to mylist-admin(a)myhost.com with mailer error 2 as well, and error messages are sent to postmaster. Translating Mailman

Hi there, I want to translate all the pages and messages of Mailman to Portuguese. I think that translating the files in directory templates should work, but I do not know how to do with the lists that are already created. Does anyone know how to do it? Thanks in advance. Denes
