Hello all, We have seen a problem with the Mailman-2.0 series (with Python-2.0 on Solaris-x86) with large .msg files (typically over 5MB) with attachments which cause qrunner to go into an infinite loop (I've seen it run over a weekend to no avail). Qrunner holds the lock and hence causes everything else to stop until I kill off qrunner, clear out the locks, and remove the offending message (the db and msg file). automated monthly mailings

My monthly confirmation messages went out as scheduled this morning. Unfortunately a large number of these automated emails from one of my lists, e.g., "LIST1" were sent out as though originating from the original "Test" list, so bounce messages were sent back to that list, i.e., "Test". can I set the NO SUBJECT line not to come up

Hi I am a new mailing list manager using Mailman on my website, most of my subscribers are getting the messages on text pagers or cell phone, is there a way when I send a message without a Subject that the line saying NO SUBJECT should not come up, also some times I am sending the message to the list thru a 2-way pager T900 it has no option of a SUBJECT line, it just takes up valuable character space on the pagers. also I selected the option at privacy options to hide the sender of the … [View More]

Dear Sir Some one is abusing your mailing list by subscribing a whole bunch of people to his mailing list "pol.ethiopia(a)lists.sn.apc.org" with out asking for permission. And he continued to ignore requests to remove people from his list. This is illegal and it is considered violation of people�s privacy. I have `What steps are required for subscription' set to require approval, and `Should administrator get immediate notice of new requests...' set to yes. When sending a test subscription request (from an alternate email account), I do not get any email to the administrator inbox. The request shows up on the administrative requests web page, though. I have been using Mailman 2.0 with python 2.0 successfully to subscribe members and to send out messages. Today, while processing the monthly password mailings, I noticed errors in the log file. Can't log in as an administrator

Hi, I have just installed MailMan 2.0 on my Redhat 7.0 i686 system. I have configured everything, and all seems to be working well, except that whenever I try to log in to any of the administraton pages for any of the lists I have created, it says "Authentication failed" despite the fact that I am convinced that I am using the correct password.
