Hello, Perhaps somebody can explain me why I have a task (mailman) to eat all of my CPU: 60 processes: 56 sleeping, 4 running, 0 zombie, 0 stopped CPU states: 5.1% user, 94.8% system, 0.0% nice, 0.0% idle Mem: 259688K av, 154984K used, 104704K free, 0K shrd, 90484K buff Swap: 385552K av, 12004K used, 373548K free 25160K cached PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND 25893 root 14 0 3688 3688 2468 R 99.0 1.4 2:42 python bin/mailmanctl start 25899 root 2 0 924 924 732 R 0.7 0.3 0:01 top Sometimes I have two python task eating 50% of my CPU each one. It is normal? FreeBSD + Mailman 2.06 + Sendmail problem.

Hello. I'm not sure if this is the right place to look for help, but I hope so. I running Mailman in a FreeBSD box with sendmail as the MTA and I'm having a problem. The queued files are taking *AGES* to get processed. For instnce, since yesterday I have 35 *.msg files in the qfiles dir and no email has been delivered to the list in this period. Looking at the dates in the lock files, I can see that qrunner is actually taking some minutes to run 5 to 10, but after it finishes running it looks it did nothing at all (no emails are delivered)! I couldn't find anything relevant in the qrunner log file. BTW, I did read the FAQ and I saw the first answer in the FAQ may be the answer to my problem, but I scanned the sendmail.cf file from top to bottom and couldn't find an option to configure the DNS resolution. Anyway, qrunner seems to be the problem as it simply does nothign after running. Any ideas? Thanks! -Bruno -- Bruno G. Senddigests still running

I noticed by watching the output of top -c that every minute or so as it should qrunner executes and goes away. I have had the mailman running on my server for a couple days now and noticed that senddigests.py is still running. It has an elapsed time of around 57 hours right now. To make things more distinct, there are two instances of it running. They are only using 1.1 of cpu and 7.7 or mem, which isn't a lot but, 1. should they still be running? 2. should it be two of them running? 3. I have no "Digest-mode users, so should it be running at all?
