For some reason, METHOD=POST in the HTML forms that Mailman dynamically builds will break the CGI wrapper in Tomcat, so as a workaround you must laboriously go through all the files in the Mailman distribution which build HTML form templates and change <strong>METHOD=POST</strong> to <strong>METHOD=GET</strong>. To the best of my knowledge these files are : <pre>/var/mailman/templates/admlogin.txt /var/mailman/Mailman/HTMLFormatter.py /var/mailman/Mailman/htmlformat.py /var/mailman/Mailman/Cgi/private.py </pre> Find <strong>METHOD=POST</strong> in all of these files and change it to <strong>METHOD=GET</strong> and save the file. <h4>Restart the Tomcat 4.0.1 server and test your configuration</h4> </p> </body> </html>

Friends. Please excuse the proprietary shell script references to /root/bin/tomstart, /root/bin/tomstop, and /root/bin/newapp. These are convenience scripts I use to start, stop and create new application file structures in Tomcat. My apologies. I'll make a more generic version of these instructions and try again. Hello, First to do is congratulate you all for the great job you are doing, we are using mailman in a lot of machines and is working perfectly, keep doing that great job!. Well, i have a question regarding mailman, we need to create some lists with 5000 mail addresses and we ask ourselves if mailman would support that huge bunch of mails and if the answer is yes, what machine must have the mailman? multiple mailman dirs

Someone posted a comment about having multiple directories of mailman, to create a grouping or hierarchy. If this is done, what would the entries look like for the cgi-bin in relation to ScriptAlias and the pipermail Alias. Ed Rantanen

Changing the subject

Hi I am a mailman user and want to know if it is possible to do the following: I have a list where I have to approve all messages sent to the list. At the moment, when I approve a message I cannot change the subject of the message. I want to be able to do this. Is it possible. Looking forward to hearing from you.
