How to enable Header and Footer

Is this the correct address for support questions? Otherwise, is there a forum or support list that I can post a question to? My problem is that email posts sent to my mailing lists do not show the header and footer in the received email. I have tried mailing with the default setting in non-digest member settings and then with my own text inserted. Is there a switch to enable these? I am using Mailman 2.0.13-1 on Plesk 6.0.1 (I have tried an upgrade to Mailman 2.1 on a test system but the Plesk system does not allow this to work) Operating system is Redhat 7.3 Can you help?

error when running /var/mailman/bin/arch on the rename list

Is there any way to get the date???

I've asked this before, I've seen others ask it, and I've just spent hours searching for an answer and trying all I can think of to make it work. I would be really nice to be able to put the date a post was written after the subject and author in the "Archives by ..." view. Anyone made this work? Anyone have a clue how to make it work? Paul

Login problems / No cookie set

I have a new server with files copied over from the old server, both FreeBSD with Apache. The old list was 1.something, after moving files to the new server I installed Mailman 2.1.2. The list itself seems to work as it should (one can mail to it and get replies, new members can be added with add_members and so on), but the web-interface is not working at all. Whenever I try to login, it just shows the same login page again. I have tried with different browsers, and the same result. I have also tried with Opera with notify on cookies, and it doesn't seem like the server tries to set any cookie at all. I have this in my mm_cfg.py: ALLOW_SITE_ADMIN_COOKIES = Yes DEFAULT_EMAIL_HOST = 'our_mail_server' DEFAULT_URL_HOST = 'the_web_server' Could anyone point me in any direction as to get Mailman to set cookies so the webinterface can work again?

how does it work with virtual domains

Hi List, I'm using Postfix with virtual domains, and tried something like in http://lists.debian.org/debian-isp/2002/debian-isp-200209/msg00052.html: I got entries for all users that mailman inserted in the alias in my virtual (like testing(a)lists.example.com list-testing) . The aliases are set correctly to execute the wrapper in /etc/aliases. I executed postmap /etc/postfix/virtual postalias /etc/aliases and rcpostfix reload (SuSE Linux uses rcpostfix). In /var/log/mail I see that the wrapper really IS executed (Sep 27 17:57:22 linux postfix/local[22221]: EE8681EB12: to=<mltest4(a)mail.usegroup.de>, relay=local, delay=2, status=sent ("|/usr/lib/mailman/mail/wrapper post mltest4")). Anyway, I never see any of those mails again. As there is nothing new in /var/lib/mailman/logs I even tried to redirect the wrapper output (>, 2>) to a log file but that did not grow and /var/lock/mail told me something about my wrapper had died unexpectedly with return code 6 (of course only as long as i tried it "extra-logging"). Newbie: New installation -- terrible load average

Hi, I have newly installed mailman (2.1.2) on my RedHat 9.0 system (with sendmail). Every time I start the qrunner daemon (/usr/local/mailman/bin/mailmanctl start) the daemon uses 99% of CPU time. I have created only two mailing lists (the mailman list and a second one) and I have only subscribed five users. There are no mails sent, and nothing else. I am running python 2.2.2-26. I have no idea what can be wrong and what I should do to correct this. I looked for the problem in the mailing list archives but high load average and CPU time consumption always seems to be connected with two main problems (heavy loaded lists and the lock-problem) but both are not applicable in that case (as locks are created correctly and removed correctly and also the logs do not report any errors).
