All, I looked at your help page for why I do not get e-mails when a list is created and I found this. http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py?req=show <http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py?req=show&file=faq01.007.htp> &file=faq01.007.htp The problem is I am new to linux and I would like to know how to do some of these things.ie restart the cron or where are the log files located for mailman and MTA? I have been using Mailman for several years and want to thank Brad for such a fine product. NOw for the "but", There are a couple of features that would make it work better for many of us: 1) Per (virtual) domain list creation passwords, and 2) Per (virtual) domain list names, i.e. allowing list(a)domain1.com and list(a)domain2.com to co-exist within one installation of mailman. Best way to transfer lists to a new server

I'm replacing my mail/list server. My old one is runing RedHat 7.3 with mailman 2.1.4. My new one is running SUSE 8.0 with mailman 2.1.5. Whats the best way to transfer my lists and archives over to the new machine? ==================== Kevin W. When sending to any of the lists on my server, I get the following error message via email: The Postfix program <testlist(a)test.com>: Command died with status 8: "/Users/mailman/mail/mailman post testlist". these files needed?

Hi, I hope this does not sound a silly question, but... I recently downloaded mailman-2.5.1.tgz from the sourceforge.net. After decompressing it, I noticed it contains under the test/msgs folder a nimda.txt and a bad_01.txt. Are these files and the folder really what are supposed to be released as part of the mailman package? Sam masamichi.hayashi(a)ntt.com

VERP + Postfix

I tried to implement VERP so I could take advantage of the bounce tracking but postfix rejects the returned bounces as an unknown address. Does anyone here know how to set up Postfix with VERP? I read the VERP info on the Postfix site but it doesn't SEEM to apply to the way Mailman says it works. Thanks in advance. Tim

Hi, This may actually be a peripheral type of question about Mailman, but... I need to tell our users what OS's/browsers and their versions are supported by Mailman. I think this is related to how the HTML tags are composed dynamically by Mailman and the syntaxes used there are fairly conservaitve and can support virtually every browser available in the modern market.
