Sending user request using emails generated with php

Dear list Members, I have a mailinglist, in which many participants have problems with simplests programs. That's why I decided to write a simple php script which would send the request emails (delivery on/off and password) to mailman. The user has only to fill in the form (email, password and on/off radiobutton) and then to klick the send button. The php sends an email to mailman (with appropriate request. Unfortunatelly it doesn't work when I'm sending emails from php (although it works, when I send the emails using my local email program). subscriber providing an "@" but told they didn't?

Anyone ever seen this? I've seen the screen grab from the subscriber - or potential subscriber - who is using the mailman page to try and subscribe - enters a regular email address (name(a)domain.com) and a first name, no password, hits submit, taken to a new page with an inappropriate error: Discovery Subscription results The email address you supplied is not valid. html archive not updating

I recently took an evolution mbox file, and turned it into a mailman archive. But when people submit e-mails to the mail list, the html archive page does not get updated. Other mail lists I have on this system are updating properly. I noticed in the ~/mailman/archives/privated directory, this evolution mbox I converted has a directory ("general"), but there's not corresponding "general.mbox" directory, is that the problem? Permissions on this general folder are set to 2775, and it's owned by user/group of mailman/mailman. In the administrative interface for the site, archiving is enabled in a public source, and set to monthly for archive volume frequency. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Making Lists with identical settings

Mailman-Users: I am using Mailman 2.1.5 on RedHat Linux. I have a list setup as an announcement list and need to make several others with the same settings as this one. I thought about using config_list with the -o option to output the configuration to a text file. Do I need to need this text file before I do the config_list -i text_file newlistname? Reverse-Proxy Integration

Hello, I'm running Debian stable using a backported version of Mailman (2.1.4) on our mail server which runs postfix (2.1.4). Since our web server is a separate machine, my plan was to *not* add another web server to the mix. To meet half-way, I installed apache on the email server, firewalled it so only the (main) web server could access it, and setup a reverse proxy like so (apache)... Trouble with mailman and apache 2

Hello everybody: I new to this list and to mailman too. Im running away from majordomo. Installed mailman and seems to work ok, but cant make it work with apache2. It worked with apache 1.??. My search via google didnt find anything useful. In my first attemp with apache 1.??, it didnt work but tell me about /etc/mailman.cgi-gid and mailman.mail.gid and i fixed them. I tried with the original and the set that worked with apache 1.??. Didnt work, but i think that the problem is near the ownership.
