When my client send a newsletter it shows up with an attachment paperclip beside it and he does not want the footer that appears at the bottom of the newsletter - any way to fix this? Thanks! Exporting/Importing users

Hi to all I have a customer who'll move from another host to mine, the problem is, that this customer does not have SSH access on the old host, nor cron, and have finished the relationship with the old host in bad terms... still he have access to his mailman, I would like to ask if there's any way where he can move the mailman user list and setting not having access to the configuration files. Mailman and HTML

I am using Mailman 2.1.4 thru Verio, Inc., my ISP. When I send html, people write that they don't get a text message. Below is a sample from my Catholic News archives. Does Mailman support html? Good Morning all How do I allow attachments and html to be allowed through? Last week we had a list member send pdf and they did get through. Or if someone does a nice document in Word with graphics how can it be allowed to go through with everything intact Thanks Bob Escher

Creating an alternate UI to mailman

Hi, I am trying to create a different UI to the mailman interface that meshes better with the current theme of our site. I had planned on just creating a few php pages that access the various mailman binaries, mainly just to offer a different interface to the subscription page, ie. allow users to sign up for multiple mailing lists at once. I found the subscribe binary, which works fine and even sends a welcome message out after subscribing a user. However, it does not send out a confirmation email, which is quite esscential. No Archives

Hi - I'm running mailman 2.1.2 on Mandrake 9.2. I copied my lists over from another server, and I think I must've missed something when I did so. The lists are all working fine, except no new messages are being added to the archives. They just end at the date on which I moved the lists. Now, if I run the bin/arch command on a list, it does update the archives to the current date. However the archives remain stuck at that date until I go and manually run that command again. Anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks. Paul

Determining why a message is discarded?

I have a user whose postings to one of my lists are being discarded. By all indications, they should go through -- the are from a subscribed address, mail isn't being held for bounces, etc. I've changed all the list settings from "discard" to "reject" yet his most recent message still shows up in /var/log/mailman/vette as discarded. Any clues on what might be causing this, or on how to further dig into the problem? The discarded messages don't seem to leave any suspicious traces in the other mailman logs. (FWIW, I recently upgraded from 2.1.4 to 2.1.5; the Debian upgrade script reported that everything converted over without problems.) Thanks, John
