Hi. I have a list where the moderators have asked that every subscriber be switched to the digest version. How do I do this, short of a few hundred clicks in the UI? I'm thinking withlist, but don't see any examples... Rob

Sorry I realized I hadn't sent a followup email which is why you might find my reply below a little confusing. Here is that followup: I've got a little more information. I noticed that there was a lot of "deferred" postfix connections. Is there an easy way to send the incoming request to the non-existent queue to /dev/null until I can get a hold of the admin of the server sending me this? I'm tempted to create the list that they are trying to reach and then add a member translated to /dev/null in postfix but wondering if there might be even an easier way? The large number of files in the in/ and archive/ queues indicates you have a mail loop of some sort or you are the victim of a DOS attack. Stop Mailman. Move those queues aside in their entirety (e.g. mv /var/spool/mailman/in somewhere/else), and examine the messages with bin/show_qfiles. mailman is very slow...

For some reason our Mailman installation has gotten very slow. One email distro took about 17 hours according to the user. There is data flow as I can see by running the "mmdsr" stat script. I googled and found something about qfiles can grow too large but don't have any in my /var/lib/mailman directory. problem removing addresses with space at end

On the server lists # ./find_member somemember somemember(a)someplace.edu found in: icrc somemember(a)someplace.edu&nbsp found in: icrc lists # ./remove_members icrc somemember(a)someplace.edu&nbsp [1] 11103 -bash: nbsp: command not found The list owner removed them from the list, but they still show up on the server. spooling question

A year or so ago I had something in mailman lock. It showed as running but stop sending e-mails. I restarted mailman and it instantly started sending the posts that were not sent as of the issue. Not concerned about the lock since it only happened once in a year. But some of the posts are time sensitive and in the /var/spool/in directory I see some that are a week old and I do not want them to send if I restart mailman. How to remove sender email from archive

Bounce notification when automatic bounce processing is not selected.

Is it possible to receive bounce information when automatic bounce processing is not selected? Mailman says, ". bounce messages will still be discarded so that the list administrator isn't inundated with them." However, as list administrator, I'd like to receive them. A particular mailing list cant send out emails if have 2000 or more members??

Hi ALL Just wondering if anyone have met with such situation whereby a mailing list have 2000 or more members and it cant send out emails??
