postfix is rejecting mailing list addresses. I was able to subscribe but when I email list-request(a)domain.com or something : Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table -- _-WALDO RAMIREZ_

Changing the received time on an outgoing authorized email message?

When authorizing a moderated list posting is it possible to change the date/time on the outgoing authorized list message to the time it was approved instead of the message showing the time it was first received by mailman? Thanks Paul

Hi, Sorry if this is a bit thick, but I can't see what I want to do in the Mailman interface or FAQ. I want to create a mailing list such that the subscribe mechanisms will give a message to the users that this list is for invited members only, and the subscription request will not be held for moderation. checkdbs memory usage at 32%/33% (pretty urgent)

Hello, my installation of mailman seems to load the server a lot, causing swap usage (at least 50%) And mail do not get delivered to users.. One of my users has tried to subscribe with an email address with a + in it, for filtering as a subaddress, e.g., Joe Foo <foo+bar(a)goo.com> I have the list set for moderator approval of subscription requests. The request appears in the log but no email is sent to me and the request does not appear in the moderator action queue. Hello all. I'm a long time Mailman user, and am the person behind the Mailman/Joomla bridge mentioned in this Wiki article: http://wiki.list.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=4030527 The "bridge" is a PHP script that runs inside my CMS (Joomla) that figures out the user's name and email address, gets the list of mailing lists, and then subscribes them to the mailing list(s) they specify, including setting them to digest mode if they ask. I do this by using the URL interface to Joomla and then … [View More]doing a "file_get_contents("$url"," FALSE")" in PHP to execute the URL with the appropriate admin password. For example, to subscribe someone I use the following URL: http://<domain>/mailman/admin/<listname> /members/add?subscribe_or_invite=0&send_welcome_msg_to_this_batch=0&notification_to_list_owner=0&subscribees_upload= <email-address>&adminpw=<adminpassword> This works fine (has for a few years now), and we actually documented several of these URLs here: http://wiki.list.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=4030567 The one I'm having a problem with is the one to set someone to digest mode. making the "Your name" Field required

Hello I am new to mailman and just learning the basics. I am looking for away to make the "your name" field on the subscription page required for our private list. I have changed the (optional) to (required) on the screen but I have been unable to find out how to get the list to make it a mandatory field. I am hoping someone will be able to give me some pointers on this. any help would be greatly appreciated thank you Doug

Hello I am new to Mailman so please bear with me. I am trying to set the "Your name" field on the subscription page of our entire list to required, but I have been unable to find the commands to set this up. I have changed the "(optional)" to “(required)” on the subscription HTML page on a test list and that looks good, but they users can submit a subscription with out submitting that information. Hi folks, I can't seem to get the correct syntax for filtering based on the Subject line. I want to auto-accept all email that contains the phrase "Digital Commons" in the Subject line. Each day at 8:00AM, as Mailman admin/owner I was getting a message with the subject "6 Mailman moderator request(s) waiting". Hello, I'm using a domain name in my LAN. This domain is used only in my LAN and it is a root domain, ie no dot added. A mail is foo@domain, not foo(a)domain.lan.
