Dears, I use MailMan (2.1.11 / Debian i386 / Postfix ) since some years in a multi domains environment. Moderation Bit ?

Hopefully, someone can answer this for me again. I don't set many lists up and thought I had saves what I'd been told once before :( When people subscribe to my list, the moderation bit isn't set, but I'd like the members moderation bit to be set by default. I can't find where to set that default setting...can anyone help me? Mailman version 2.1.5 Thanks Wayne

Hi! I have mailman installed on my freebsd server. I am running postfix+dovecot with mysql support for my mail server. Everything is working perfectly except mailman gives error on incomming mail. Problem with max_num_recipients

Hullo! I am running 2.1.12 on FreeBSD 8.0-RELEASE. I have a list where, as a rule, we don't allow CCs to other people/lists. So we set max_num_recipients to 2. hi, I have several vps servers with very limited resources running several large mailman lists, n these servers keep stopping from responding n sometimes mailq shows several errors like: too many open files in the system and not enough resourses ... etc. so every hour I do the following: mailmanctl stop postfix stop reboot to free up the system resources, and eventually the mailq shows empty n the mail gets delivered.. is that a good thing I’m doing? for I can’t afford to upgrade the … [View More]

1. I've just received an email from a list member who says about 75% of posts from our list appear in her email without any texts! She received a subject line and can see the poster's name, but the email is empty! She uses Mail for Mac 2. Several times list members have simply not received messages at all. error on attempting t start mailman

Hi, I ran out of disk space so I added 400gb to /var/lib/mailman2 and moved the archives with, cd /var/lib/mailman ; tar cf - . |(cd /var/lib/mailman2 tar xf -) So permissions should have stayed OK....then I did, unmount ~mailman2 and mounted it as ~mailman, permissions look right but I seem to be getting this error now, "Starting mailman: Site list is missing: mailman" doh? any ideas? regards
