I am completely Python stupid. How can I do a mass change of all footers on the lists I run without going list to list using the web interface.

If you have command line access to Mailman, see <http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py?req=show&file=faq04.038.htp>. If not, you have to use the web interface.
