mailman doesn't send messages from smart phone

One of our user tried to send an e-mail to a mailing list from his smart phone including an attachment. He got back the following error message:
The attached message was received as a bounce, but either the bounce format was not recognized, or no member addresses could be extracted from it. This mailing list has been configured to send all unrecognized bounce messages to the list administrator(s).
How can I fix this?
Thank you for help

That message should normally only go to the list admin, you say HE got it, is he an admin?
Was it a bounce message (attached)? IF so, what does the bounce message say was the problem?
If not, did they send the message to listname-bounces instead of listname?

Your user didn't email the list, but the bounce address of the list. Tell him to use the proper email address without "-bounce" in the name part.

Hi Folks,
I have a moderator who's a bit hard to communicate with. She's new to the moderation game. I can't make her an administrator because it would be too risky - she'd likely screw it up because she has no idea what she's doing yet. And, I'm behind a firewall and she's on the outside, and I haven't time to figure out how to get mailman to present all the external names, though she CAN get where she needs to go. Adding to the difficulty is that the list is fully private...
I'm writing because she is so confused over the distinction between admin and moderator. The presumption in mailman seems to be to use administrator everywhere and only references moderator in a few places. ...I looked and didnt' find (maybe I'm blind!) a page that could help a moderator know how to do what they can do. She got logged in once but then was having trouble finding where she gets to subscription rules so she can ban people...
Is there any place I can point her that will help clarify this - I don't have time to babysit her, and I can't see exactly what she's doing nor give it to her because all the system names are different - so I constantly have to translate for her! Help!
Thanks guys n gals,
RT

...I should have clarified: Her key problem seems to be moving from a screen where she used her Moderator password to successfully log in, to the "administrator interface". It asks her for the administrator password.
How is she supposed to manage subscriptions if she can't log in to the administrator interface?
Thanks...

Moderators only have access to the "Pending Moderator Request" page.
From there they can approve/reject/discard posts made to the list and held. While they are doing this, they can also remove the moderation flag from a user whose post has been held, or add non-subscribers to the auto-approval or auto-reject lists or ban them from subscribing.
These are the powers of a moderator.
"Managing Subscriptions" is an administrator duty in Mailman.
