Hi,
After installing mailman at the bottom of my mailing list pages it says it is version 1.0.
However, it seems as this list runs on v 1.0.2 . Look at the bottom of: http://www.python.org/mailman/listinfo/mailman-users
Can someone explain what the difference is if any? Is 1.0.2 the latest release?
later, Mentor

1.0.2 is the latest version of the CVS code pool. It's what developers and testers are using if they're brave. Not many changes; a couple of attempts and improving the perfomance of the archiver, and a new portable locking manager are the main things. I have 1.0.2 up on my test machine and 1.0.1 on my production machine.

Hi, I am trying to do a comparison b/w mailman and. majordomo + majorcool. Does anyone have a good comparison of the two products?
Thanks, Matthew

I'm using the minor-minor rev number when there are milestones in the CVS snapshot. Because my life's not exciting enough, I usually run the latest snapshot on python.org :) My intent is that releases will always be numbered x.y and betas for x.y+1 will be numbered x.y.z.
