We are trying to convince some of our users to switch from proprietary mailing list systems they wrote themselves to mailman. I am having trouoble with one - he has a very large collection of archives of his old lists he wants imported into mailman.
I'm using Mailman 2.0.12 with the defautl pipermail archiver. Is there an easy way to convince it to include the old archives in its listing? He can convert the archives into most any variation of mbox files i need.
Thanks much,
-Josh

Check out the ~mailman/bin/arch command. It will turn an ordinary mbox file into web-based archives ala' Pipermail.
You'll have to put the mbox file in the right place:
~mailman/archives/private/<listname>.mbox/<listname>.mbox
(that's from memory, so you should verify it).
