Hi everyone, I'm implementing automatic mailing list handling in one of the email clients (you can easily guess which one;) ) ...
These questions would be better asked on -developers.
So: a) are there any specific Mailman commands > one can send to Mailman via email?
That are unique to Mailman? No.
And does Mailman follow the standard mailinglist-command@nowhere.com syntax for them?
Not in 2,0, mostly (don't know any exceptions) for 2.1.
b) should those messages have some specific headers/subjects/bodies,
?? Please clarify.
c) does the mailinglist-index@nowhere.com syntax work?
Mp.
Can one get emails or threads this way: mailinglist-get.100_113@nowhere.com, mailinglist-thread.13@nowhere.com
No, Mailman does not currently support archive requests.
d) if any of the above is true, then is it possible to change those commands, and if so then do admins actually do that?
Possible in the sense of Open Source, also possible in terms of RFC 2369 being configurable on/off in 2,1, but that's about it.
