Can someone point me to examples of Mailman mail-to-news gateways that I could check out?
Thanks,
Kevin Shrieve kevin@lumiere.net

Since nobody seems to know of examples of Mailman mail-to-news gateways that I could check out, I'll broaden the question...
Has anybody had any experience with the mail-to-news gateway feature of Mailman? Is it real? Does it work?
Thanks,
Kevin Shrieve kevin@lumiere.net

Hi,
I think the Hungarian Linux mailing list (http://mlf.linux.rulez.org/) is working this way (hun.lists.mlf.linux).

No, it doesn't. We have a news gating script which had been in use for some time even before installing mailman.

Yes, it works. I had a list set up that was a one-way gateway for members of another list I had, who did not have access to that newsgroup.
So try it out. It wasn't difficult to set up.

comp.lang.python <-> python-list@python.org comp.lang.python.announce <-> python-announce-list@python.org
The latter is an example of gatewaying to a moderated newsgroup.
