I've submitted a bug request for this (which I'll move to the requests folder soon). I would suspect that the same option would control disabling delivery since if you could just disable delivery you wouldn't really care if you're still subscribed.

Other needs that recently popped up here:

The ability to flag individual posters as read-only (or at least moderated).

The ability to disable moderation alerts for specific users (silent gag).
